Scan a paper receipt with the camera. It is saved as a PDF in a folder you choose, and the app tries to name it after the date, merchant and amount on the receipt.
- How it works
- Pick a folder once. The app opens the camera on launch from then on.
- A scan can have several pages. They are saved as one PDF.
- Smart naming is experimental. With it on, the text is read on the device to suggest a file name, for example 2026-08-11 The Store 249kr.pdf. Turn it off and the scan time is used instead.
- Each scan is saved as a new file. If that name is already taken in the folder, a number is added to it.
- What it reads, and when it doesn't
- How much of the name the app can fill in depends on the photo and on the receipt itself. A faint, creased or partly cut-off receipt may give a name without an amount, or without a merchant. When nothing can be read, the scan time is used instead.
- It can also be wrong rather than merely incomplete: a misread amount, a date taken from the wrong line, a merchant that is not the one you shopped at. The naming is a best effort and not a guarantee — check the file name against the receipt whenever the number matters.
- The scan is saved either way, and the file can be renamed afterwards like any other.
- Your receipts stay yours
- There is no account, no sign-in and no analytics. The app makes no network requests, and the text recognition runs on the device.
- Requirements
- iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 or later, and a camera.
- Any folder the Files app offers — iCloud Drive, a cloud service, or storage on the device.
